Dugout Hero (the "Service") is operated by Sway Athletics("we", "us", "our"). Sway Athletics is the data controller for personal data processed through the Service. This notice explains what we collect, why, and your rights.
1. Personal data we collect
- Account data: email address, display name, and team name you provide at sign-up.
- Content you create: rosters, players, games, lineups, at-bat events, and stats.
- Usage and telemetry: pages visited, actions taken, device and browser info, IP address.
- Support communications: messages you send us and our replies.
- Payment data: handled by Stripe. We receive a purchase confirmation and subscription status; we do not receive or store your full card details.
2. How we use your data
- Create and secure your account and provide the Service (contract).
- Save and display your rosters, games, and stats (contract).
- Improve product quality, debug issues, prevent fraud (legitimate interests).
- Respond to support requests (contract / legitimate interests).
- Comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations (legal obligation).
3. Sharing your data
- Hosting & infrastructure: our cloud hosting and database providers process data on our behalf.
- Payments: Stripe, Inc. handles payment processing, tax calculation, invoicing, and subscription management on behalf of Sway Athletics.
- Professional advisers: legal, accounting, and compliance advisers under confidentiality.
- Authorities: where required by law or to protect rights, safety, or property.
4. Retention
We retain account and content data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward for backup, dispute, and legal purposes. Payment records are retained by Stripe and by us as required for tax and accounting. You may request deletion at any time (see Your Rights).
5. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your personal data, and to object to or withdraw consent for certain processing. To exercise any of these, contact us at support@swayathletics.com. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
6. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures — including encryption in transit, access controls, and row-level security on our database — to protect personal data. No system is perfectly secure; report vulnerabilities to the address above.
7. Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies and similar storage to keep you signed in and remember preferences. Stripe may set cookies during checkout to process your purchase.
